Video + Motion
This selection showcases my video work, spanning from the audiovisual piece Layers of Identity in Transit, showcased at the ALWFAV symposium and archived by HÅN, to a self-portrait series exploring identity and perception, to Transitions, a film examining the fluid movement between personal facades and evolving identities.

Layers of Identity in transitThis video and audio consists of footage of liminal spaces, described by author Augé as “non-places”.This is representative of the perpetual motion of personal identity, the constant and never-ending change we experience. This audio-visual landscape provides the setting for the spaces in-between, allowing one to question the concept of personal identity and the navigation between one’s various facades or layers.
The outcome consists of a collection of video recordings from airports, train stations and other spaces of transit, arranged in a non-linear, endless sequence. The video is edited in an inverted style, incorporating noise and texture to give a element of indecipherability. The audio comprises of recordings from these transient spaces combined with a self-reflective conversation on personal identity and the personas we assume day to day.
